Keep the Faith

Taking a bit of a break this morning from serious talk to something more inspirational.  We all have moments when we just need something to inspire us to keep on keeping on…with whatever vision it is we are trying to achieve.

A few months ago my 25 year old daughter who lives with me sent me a link to this song by Miley Cyrus.  She has followed my progress with this course from the beginning…through the trials and errors…through the triumphs and struggles…through the laughter and tears.  I continue to be amazed at the wisdom of the young.  It made me cry when I first played it because it reminded me that not only do I need to keep my vision alive and pushing towards it…but, to live in the precious moment…and as one of our most esteemed, wise classmates Mandy Allen (mandyallen.com) always says “enjoy the journey.”  If we are not enjoying the ride…then we’re missing out on the most important element of all…the JOY life brings in every moment.

So, from my daughter to me…to you:

  1. Brilliant, Kathy. I went all tingly when the song came on. It’s simply brilliant!

    (And thanks for the plug!)

    Enjoy the journey.

Glad you enjoyed it as much as I do Mandy. We are both cut of the same cloth and living in the moment is truly what it is all about!
    Keep the faith…always,
    Kathy

  2. Hi Kathy,

Thank you for the beautifully moving song! It says it all … treasure the journey! We often get our ‘panties all in a twist’ because we focus only on the goal. When the path gets rocky, all enthusiasm and convictions start to falter.

Hang on to your dreams and visions, Kathy. I know you’ll get there! In the mean time, a beautiful road is unfolding right in front of your eyes :-)

    Wishing You Rippling Success!

    Svenja…
You have such a way with words! You made me chuckle…;) And, yes, I feel that “beautiful road” unfolding…and, I know you do too! ;)
    Your partner in success…

    Wow Gayla…
It’s great hearing from you! I know you’ve been so busy with your “Doodle Wear Project”…which I know you’ll be a grand success with.

Thanks for the kind compliments…and I am glad you love my new look…I love it too!

    Keep the Faith…always,
    Kathy

  4. Kathy, You’re lucky to have a daughter keeping you in touch with new music. This track was certainly succour for the soul. Living in the moment is the only reality; I like to think of it in 3 words: Be. Here. Now. (Which was also the title of an Oasis Album. :-) )
Keep posting the music tracks, they’re good for the rest of us out here.

  5. Kathy,

Your right about the wisdom of the young. My 33 year old still amazes me at times. But it dows makes sense. After all they are people that react to all those things around them, just like we were. They have seen us act and react and gone through the all of the feelings we have felt.

You have obviously done a good job in communicating those things to your daughter. Congratulations!

    Jay

Thanks Jay for commenting…it’s nice to be told I’ve done a great job with my daughter…;)

  6. Hi Kathy, FANTASTIC, your daughter has that certain touch and is to be commended. I’ll be pointing a few people in your direction as that song says so much and most of us could take note of the lyrics at some time or another. What a great relationship you share with your daughter, for her to send you that some at a time it raised a tear, beautifull!!

I agree with everyone else, your blog does look good. It’s both unclutered and easy to read.

    Keep up the good work,

    Respect & Regards
    Barry

Thanks Barry…my kids…no matter how old they get always amaze me…;) And, it’s nice to know they are paying attention when we don’t think they have a clue…;)

That is a fantastic song, I never knew Myley Cyrus was so talented.I must check out more of her music, that song is very inspirational. I also have a 25 year old daughter. Its good to have a girl.

Just so you know Ann…I didn’t know Miley was that talented either until my daughter clued me in. And, funny thing is she is not the type person I would think my daughter would be attracted to…
    but they always surprise me!

  9. Hi Kathy,
I love your blog, especially this post. What a beautiful song…it comes at a great time for so many of us. We need to see that by living in THIS moment, we are creating the end results that we desire. It is certainly not an easy thing to do, but it is essential to our success! I wish you much success, Kathy!
