Just finished a yahoo conversation with Edson Buchanan. I am trying to come up with a title for this blog and I was just over thinking everything. It really helps to have someone of his caliber to help me over these bumps.
My biggest problem is I am a perfectionist. That can really get in the way and I know I need to loosen up and understand that I am still learning and I will make mistakes. But, that’s all part of the process. For the most part, and this goes for all things in life….the mistakes we make turn into our greatest lessons learned.
Edson told me that he changed his title a few months after he had his first blog up. That made me feel much better….that I could change it if I decided I didn’t like it. Now that I know I am not stuck with it forever it should be a bit easier to just “let go.” I know that sounds pretty elementary, but honestly, if I didn’t know that I could change it midstream (without putting up a new site), I am sure there are others out there that didn’t know either. That’s exactly the kind of things I want to address in my blog on Internet Marketing…things that may seem very elementary to pros, but are very real to newbies.
Once I have chosen my title, I will be submitting it to Planet Divinity and they will be creating my custom header and footer…with input from me of course! Can’t wait to see how it comes out.
So, with that in mind, I’ll go back to the drawing board and work on my title. And, this time I won’t be so tough on myself…. 😉
